PhD professor at the Department of Linguistics (DL) at USP. Her studies focus on the relationship between speech and singing: segmental comparisons, intonational comparisons or studies related to the temporal structure. The findings are analyzed in the light of dynamicist theorectical approaches. She is also dedicated to the presentation of the dynamic systems theory as a one that enables an integrating understanding of cognitive (linguistic/musical) phenomena. She was responsible for creating specific courses on phonetics in the undergraduate linguistics course, such as Acoustic and Articulatory Phonetics and Experimental Phonetics. She is the editor of Percepta, a periodic jounal of the Brazilian Association of Cognition and Musical Arts (ABCM).
