Rita Demasi

PhD student at the Sorbone University, the ILPGA (Institute of Linguistics and General and Applied Phonetics), with the LPP (Phonetics and Phonology Lab - UMR7018 - Paris 3), under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Didier Demolin. In her research on applied phonetics, she describes and analyses nasal diphthongs in the Paulista dialect of Brazilian Portuguese. In 2010, she obtained her master's degree, also under Prof. Demolin. During her under-grad research in 2005, mentored by Prod. Dr. Beatriz Raposo de Medeiros, contributed with the assembly of the historical collection of the USP Phonetics Lab. In 2012 she started her work in the private sector as a computational linguist, and since then she's developed projects aimed at the computer processing of Brazilian Portuguese-languaged natural speech.
