PhD student at the Linguistics Department at University of São Paulo, working on the project “Joint speech and synchronous speech: characteristic features,” under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Beatriz Raposo de Medeiros. Currently studying the perceptual and visual aspects of synchronous speech production. During her Master’s degree, she worked on a synchronous speech experiment, in which the possible interference of semantic incongruities in a speech synchronization task was observed. The aim of the research was to investigate whether there is interaction between speech production and the semantic level of language, and to analyze the results in the light of the dynamic theory of cognition. During undergrad studies, also supervised by Prof. Beatriz, she investigated the similarities and differences between linguistic and musical cognition. GEF member since 2014.
